Blue and Yellow Hearts’ purpose is to support Ukrainian displaced people arriving in Sydney, Australia.
We accept donations of new clothes, shoes, towels, bed linen, toiletries, school supplies and other essential items which will assist Ukrainian displaced people settle into their first few weeks of life in Sydney, Australia. Unfortunately we are not able to send items to Ukraine.
We ask for all donations to be delivered to The Intercession of the Holy Virgin Ukrainian Orthodox Church 108 Arthur St (cnr Mitchell Rd) Strathfield West where displaced Ukrainians are invited to collect what they need to help them get on their feet.
Labour is provided by volunteers from all walks of life, including established members of the Ukrainian Community in Australia. Our volunteers accept, sort and display donations in the Church Hall, and assist Ukrainian displaced people to find what they need in the hall. Our volunteers also help to connect displaced Ukrainians with the Charity regardless of their religious or political affiliations.
Our effort is entirely voluntary and unpaid.
Our purpose is entirely charitable, but we have not sought registration as a charity. We can provide a receipt for your cash donation but you will not be able to claim a tax deduction.
